My art is heavily influenced by fairy tales, folklore, religious stories, and story telling. I mostly paint women, and I love to add symbolism to my work. I hope the artwork makes you wonder about the narrative, and the characters it portrays. The female subjects in my work are multifaceted, and as in real life, their stories are never as simple as they seem.
I typically paint oil paint. I love using layers and bright colors to reveal a form. Painting interesting shadows, tiny details, and painting hands are some of my favorite parts of the work!
