Lora Hlavsa is a Filipino-American artist and illustrator living and working in Minneapolis.
Born in Minnesota and raised in California, Hlavsa’s bold, colorful and frequently chaotic work is informed by the contrasting cultures and climates that have marked her lived experience and influenced by her own interest in expressions of femininity, diversity, nature, and pop culture. She works both digitally and with traditional mediums, and is primarily interested in layering materials, color, pattern, and texture to create compositions are striking from afar and immersive up close.
