Laura DuFrane Murphy

I live in Northeast Minneapolis, where my view of the river inspires me every day. My studio is in North Minneapolis at Homewood Studios, near where I work. I create intuitively, and allow the medium I am using to guide me to the next steps. Sometimes my work goes in surprising directions, but I always enjoy the journey. I work on canvas, with acrylic paint, watercolor, ink, charcoal, painted and scavenged paper, and many other materials to get the textured and layered depth I am looking for.
