Artist Statement:

Originally I am from central Wisconsin and was inspired by art and expression from a young age. I pursued my education in Studio Art in UW Superior to pursuing a Master of Arts degree at Adler Graduate School with a focus on LGBTQ populations. Some organizations that I have participated in are Tom of Finland Institute, Chicago Fire Arts, Otherworldly Arts, and hosting the American Art Therapy Association Conference 2022 with the help of my LGBTQ Art friends. This is for connection to the LGBTQ+ community due to our connection to the arts.
I focus on themes like queer identity/fantasy, mixed media, and connection. I have a love of horror but also experimenting with different mediums to tell a story. I am inspired by Junji Ito, Guillermo Del Toro and Frida Kahlo. I also want to explore the complexities of gay life from the profane to the sacred. I used sketching as my main medium then jump to painting and mixed media to achieve a true vision, which is to be an oddity.
