James Nutt

James Nutt, AIA is an architect, artist, instructor and constant sketcher. He practices architecture at 3M, does watercolor demos and has taught for the past 6+ years, and shares space in the NE Minneapolis Northrup King Building in Studio 321 on the third floor (Previously in Dock 5 Studio NKB and Before that in Solar Arts).

James’ focus is finding and communicating the relationships, energy and stories of our everyday environment.  Using a very limited color palette he strives for energetic line work, depth and proportion to provide balance and harmony.

James has drawn or painted every day for the past 15+ years, loves commissions, and participates in Northrup King extended hours Saturdays,  Art A Whirl, and various art venues.
