I am a multimedia artist, and I create shadow puppet shows inspired by fairytales, folktales, medieval and Arthurian legends, myths, ancient histories, and Biblical stories. I have performed in galleries, schools, churches, conferences, and festivals – both locally and beyond! My repertoire includes Jonah: A Shadow Puppet Play, The Bremen-Town Musicians, The Light of the World, The Loyal Mongoose, and Swef, swef.
I seek to create contemplative, analog, and meaningful experiences for people young and old. Shadow puppetry is wonderful because it is foundationally simple: it only requires bits of paper, some tape, maybe a rod or two. Light transforms these humble materials into tools to tell great and beautiful stories.
