Ahoy! I’m Miche. I like to collect people’s used rubbers and hang them on my ears.

One day I was lounging on a patio when a lovely woman came by selling bike tube earrings. In love, I bought two pairs. After purchasing her entire collection on multiple run ins over time, a craving for new styles and a mountain of used bike tubes led me to start making my own jewelry. I would often get compliments on my “leather” earrings only to blow people’s minds when I informed them that they were technically up-cycled road kill. Every tube had its glory days, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have a great retirement. Over time I realized there were more people out there who wanted to help these tubes live a second life. Thus, B(r)utyl Rubber rose from the tube pile.

When I’m not surrounded by tubes and rubber trimmings, I oil paint and draw with pen and ink. I typically draw strange characters I meet, but lately I’ve been in an unexplainable clown phase. I love drawing for posters/community events!
