Led by two Black Transmasc photographers, Bear (he/they) & Wordsworth (he/him), BOI TOY Studio was created to provide a safe, inclusive creative destination for other emerging Twin Cities-based Black, Queer, Trans and Gender Non-Conforming photographers and lens-based artists seeking support and connection in their professional journeys. Located in the Northrup King Building in Northeast Minneapolis, the pair has treated the space to nurture and evolve their professional practices in photography and experiment beyond the traditional genres and formats of image-making.
Our space is growing and we are always open to hosting space for folks visiting from out of town.
