The Guild of Metalsmiths
The Guild of Metalsmiths (TGoM) is a non-profit organization of people centered in and around Minnesota who preserve and promote the art, science, and skills of metalworking. We hold classes on Basics, Hammers, Tongs, Zombie Choppers, Tomahawks, Flowers, Leaves, and much more. We hold a 3-day open forge in June, a 3-day conference with demonstrators in September, and bi-monthly pot-luck member meetings. There are lots of opportunities to demonstrate, and maybe sell your wares, at local Threshing Shows, County Fairs, and Art Shows which we sponsor and support. Our members get advanced registration for classes plus discounts for equipment, clothing, supplies, and classes.

If you’ve ever wanted to know more about welding, but didn’t have a way to do it, here’s your chance. There’s something mysterious and magical about welding. Welders sit so close to this fountain of sparks that most people would jump back from. They join steel (and other materials) together as if they were one.
