Try your hand at watercolor batik, a modern twist on the ancient Javanese art of batik. You don’t need to know watercolor technique or even how to draw – we’ll work from an image traced onto rice paper and then use melted wax and watercolor to create a final work of art. You will create a patterned batik working with either abstract designs or patterns from nature.

Saturday July 16 1:00 – 4:00pm – use abstract patterns or patterns from nature to create the batik
Saturday August 20 1:00 – 4:00pm– use a Chickadee as the image to create the batik
