Our Journey and Love for Mosaics
Have you ever seen a piece of mosaic art and wondered how it was created? Come hear two mosaic artists from the Minnesota Mosaic Guild, Rachel Arntson and Shawn Wiski, share their love for mosaics. The styles, techniques, and materials used in mosaics are endless. Rachel and Shawn will give you a little taste of their journey with mosaics and, in particular, focus on their recent trips and mosaic classes in Italy and Mexico. They will demonstrate many of the tools and materials that they use in their creations. In addition, you will hear a bit about the history of mosaics by seeing photos of amazing mosaic art from Italy.
