dUped? is a body of work that offers opportunities to be comfortably deluded. Sculptures, installations, and
images are inspired by magicians’ sleight of hand, superstitions and the paranormal. The notion of “suspension
of disbelief” is used as a formula for exploring the vulnerability of human perception. These illusions respond
to the joys of, and fears about, the seemingly rational systems of mass belief or delusion that are now everyday
propositions.
