I am a Minnesota-born artist living in Minneapolis and working in the fashion industry, and have been drawing/painting since I could hold a crayon. I am most drawn to the natural world as subject matter, particularly the human form, and how the body carries and expresses emotion. In my work I focus on posture, using the skeletal structure as a base to convey our inner most selves, and employ rich color contrasts or shadow and shape to explore how the figure is holding or releasing feeling.
