30th Art-A-Whirl in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal — an overview of this year’s event.
Mother Tongue (2025) is a documentary film and project that uses food to unlock personal narratives around matrilineal lineage and place. In September 2024, Mary Prescott invited five Twin Cities cultural workers — Kao Kalia Yang, José A. Luis, Ifrah Mansour, Eyenga Bokamba and Dr. Kate Beane — to a potluck dinner to explore the deep connections between food, community, and family.
NEMAA membership is open to all!
NEMAA’s mission is to strengthen and support our local artist community with resources, promotion, and fellowship.
Our members are artists, galleries, businesses, nonprofits, neighbors, and art appreciators. We welcome artists with studio space and those without, established professionals, aspiring students, and everyone in between.
Together, we bring social and economic vitality to Northeast and adjacent communities.
