I’m a Minneapolis oil painter who arrived at my artistic career later in life, once my kids were grown.
After learning some of the basics of oil painting at my community Art Center I quickly gravitated to the subject matter that continues to intrigue me — the American West — particularly as mythologized through popular culture of the 1950’s and ‘60s. I began collecting and painting Hartland toys, coincidentally manufactured 30 miles from my Wisconsin hometown. For me, they offer limitless possibilities to explore color, reflected light, shadow and scale.
Buying a painting is very personal and not a small commitment. If you’d like to stop in my studio at the Northrup King Building for a private, socially distant showing, please send me an email or give me a call.
*Please note, shipping is available on prints; curbside pickup for paintings. Contact me if you’re interested in having a painting shipped. Thank you!
