Waiting Trams (1976)
Hackescher Markt, East Berlin, DDR 1976
Late one night I was wondering around East Berlin and noticed these trams waiting to start their route. This layover point is just west of the Hackescher Markt S-Bahn station. There was something eerie about the light and the shadows. The photo was taken on Ektachrome film which causes the greenish hue and graininess. (see “Waiting Trams 2014” below.)
The print is a 5 x 7 mounted on a 8 x 10 board with white mat.
