Metal Print: Waiting for Something Unknown to Become Clear

The Poet-Artist collaboration event in Red Wing, Minnesota is an annual event. Poets submit poems. Artists submit examples of their work. Selected poems are sent to the selected artists without names attached. Artists indicate which poems they would like to use as inspiration for new work. The Red Wing Arts Center matches poems to artists. The opening of the show is where the poets read their poems and the artists show their work based on the poem they were given. It is a gathering of creative people that I was thrilled to be a part of. This painting gets its title from a line in Lisa Higgs’ poem Downpour.

The original watercolor is sold but I have a 14″ x 10.5″ metal print available. Pixels.com printed it on a sturdy sheet of aluminum with a glossy finish. Wood on the back has a wire for hanging and holds the metal out from the wall. No need for a frame.
