Sitting on a rock next to water, watching the water rush by making interesting shapes and curves, listening to the roar of moving water, letting the paint simply be a reaction to the experience.
This was painted in 2014. Now it would be a struggle for me to recreate this scene. I remember enjoying that feeling of being right there and feeling the spray of the water as I sketched.
Acrylic on stretched canvas, 24″ x 36″, wood frame.
On display at Owatonna Hospital until November.
