Durrës, Albania 2011
This photo was taken just outside the wall of the old Roman city. I was staying in Tirana and took a day trip to Durrës on the Adriatic coast. I am sure that had I returned the next day or the next month, or the next year, these guys would be there as this must be part of their daily ritual. A peaceful life shared with old friends in old age that we all will hopefully achieve. My understanding is that the graffiti says something like “don’t be stupid.”
The print is a 5 x 7 mounted on a 8 x 10 board with white mat.
