Handmade Bookends Created with Natural Wood Baltic Birch Layers
We love our wood bookends – made from Baltic birch layers laminated together, there’s around 75 individual pieces of birch in each bookend. These will look great on your bookshelf holding up that extensive Kurt Vonnegut collection, or even your youngster’s Dr. Seuss books! Sold as a pair, either with an “edge grain” face or a walnut veneered face, they have cork padding on the bottom to hold them in place.
These bookends are all mid-century modern and they’re one of a few of our decor items that are an homage to some of the designers of the era – specifically Charles and Raye Eame, and Alvar Aalto. Each natural wood bookend contains around 75 layers of birch, and they’re available with the striped face or a walnut veneered face.
The bottom of the bookends have a cork pad to help keep them strong and sturdy for whatever author they’re supporting.
