The Rice County Indigo Collective is a group of artists, artisans and crafters who create color for their work with home grown Japanese indigo (Persicaria tinctoria) that they helped grow.  It Starts with a Tiny Seed showcases a variety of techniques and applications of natural dyes.  Artworks by Cheryl Ramette, Emily Donovan, Judith Julig, Judy Saye-Willis, Kay Buxton, Leslie Hall, Sarah Nassif and Tom Willis will be on view:
Friday, November 4, 5 – 10 p.m.
Saturday, November 5, 12 – 8 p.m.
Sunday, November 6, 12 – 5 p.m. 
INDIGO DYEING & HANDMADE NATURAL INKS AND WATERCOLOR DEMONSTRATION – 
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5th 1-3PM and 
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6th 1-3PM
Learn about the fundamentals of how an Indigo Dye Vat is made with a live demonstration of dyeing with creative surface designs, see how watercolors with indigo and other natural pigments are made or try your hand at playing with plant-based inks.
