Josie Gantman is a young artist who has been refining her skill in ceramics for the last eight years. She specializes in functional products, such as mugs, bowls, plates, spoon rest etc. Josie has spent time working in studios and with many different potters, learning different techniques that she has woven into her own practice.
Josie focuses mainly on wheel thrown piece, made with buff stoneware and uses cone 10 high fire glazes, and also does a few sculptural piece here and there. She takes her inspiration from the world around her, the organic shapes and colors made in nature can be portrayed in her work.
