Waterplant Memory

The “Memories” Series: In 2020 I went through all my old paintings. Snapshots in time seen through today’s eyes. Some of them inspired me to add my current thoughts. Here is one: Waterplants. In 2002 I made a series of watercolor paintings with simple contours of this species of plant. I remember they grew in abundance in the small lake near the house where I grew up. In 2020 I experience the memory again but this time the colors are more vivid with intense yellow sunlight.

This 10″x14″ watercolor/acrylic/gouache painting is unframed.
