Walnut Wood Hollow Form with a Blackwood Lid
This sculptural piece was turned and hollowed from a solid block of walnut wood on a lathe. It was hollowed through the 1″ diameter opening on the top of the piece. The lid with its finial is in blackwood, which allows incredible detail. This piece won an award at the Northern Woods Exhibition.
The piece received a very small compression nick on the edge at a recent gallery show. For this reason, it is discounted.
The base is 7″ in diameter x 4″high. The lid is 4½” high.
