Walnut Wood Platter
This beautiful platter was turned on a lathe from wood harvested from an old walnut tree taken down in Minneapolis. The wood is from the crotch of the tree where the trunk divided into two trunks. This crazy and rare grain pattern develops in the wood just below where the trunk splits. The grain pattern is nature’s art. The tray could be used for food service, it would make a great objet d’art on a coffee table, or it could be hung on the wall.
The platter is 1¾” high x 13¼” in diameter.
