This was painted after a very long walk. It felt good to push my physical body to its limit. I did not plan this image. I knew I wanted a horizon line and strong lines that could suggest plants overlapping or branches entering the scene. A hazy image of something on the water in the distance could suggest a ship. I enjoyed letting the paint become what you see here.
Original watercolor is 30″x22″ and framed in wood with conservation glass. It was at Studio 176 Park Rapids in July 2020, and now is back at Studio 321 Northrup King Building in Minneapolis.
