Vernazza

The photograph of Vernazza, Italy was taken from the trail that connects the five cities of Cinque Terre. I was staying in Monterrosa Al Mare. That day I hiked half the distance of the trail and took the train back to Monterrosa Al Mare. Unbeknownst to me, the spot from which I took the photograph is a popular location from which to take a picture of Vernazza and its harbor. A year later my wife gave me a Garmin for my car. When I turned it on, the screen image was this scene of Vernazza. At first I asked if she had loaded my photograph on to the Garmin. She said no. Then I wondered how did Garmin obtain my photograph. Upon close examination I determined that it was not mine. The Garmin photograph was taken from a slightly different position and that the boats in the harbor were different. And it was nice to know I picked a good location from which to take that photograph.

This photograph is printed at  36 x 29 on canvas in a floating frame with a gold colored trim. Upon request it can also be printed at other sizes and on aluminum and photographic paper. Contact me for those  pricing details.
