Underwater
This is a blast from the past. One day in 2012 I was painting this abstract landscape. Stepping back to take it all in, I was not pleased. I decided to have some fun with it before painting over the whole thing. I chose a color combination that interested me and spread it all at once across the whole thing with a “Take THAT!” attitude. Stepping back again, I thought, “Hmm. I like that!” After a few more touch ups, I dubbed it complete. It sat at home a long time before I was ready to show it. My husband encouraged me to show it and suggested that it reminded him of an underwater scene. I agree and suggest that this title is also a metaphor.
This unframed acrylic painting is on 36″x24″ stretched canvas.
It is unframed, but the edges are painted in the same color palette and could be displayed unframed.
