Triana Cream and Sugar Set
This cream and sugar set is inspired by my time spent living in Spain; specifically my experience crossing the “Puente de Triana” or Triana Bridge each morning in Seville.
The coexistence of architectural and organic space brings me joy through decoration in everyday embellishments in landscapes. On a bridge, one is crossing over water that will never be the same on a bridge that is stable and stagnant. It’s a dichotomy coexisting, I find this beautiful. It is the appreciation of these everyday moments that bring me to the Puente de Triana, my favorite bridge. In the calm, quiet morning while the sun rose I would cross the guadalquivir river and enjoy city moments of delight, calm and restful quiet in the chaos of a city waking up.
In use of this piece, I hope that one would be able to find that peace in movement and stability that I experienced each day as I crossed the Puente de Triana; inviting joy and appreciation into one’s world.
