Ten Beans

Painting of ten huge, variegated scarlet runner beans on a black background.  Half of them are bright purple/magenta and black, the other half cream and brown to reflect the way they came up in my garden, the purple ones forming on vines with vivid red-orange flowers, the earthtoned beans on vines with pale peach flowers.

Currently on display at Sociable Cider Werks, 1500 Fillmore Street NE, Minneapolis.  Oil paint on hardboard, 15.25″ x 19.25″ including ornate gold frame.  2021.
