The only significant hiking we did during our trip to Iceland was in Vatnajökull National Park. It wasn’t the best hiking weather: cold, cloudy and rainy. But, we had a waterfall to see and nothing will keep me from seeing a good waterfall! Svartifoss is surrounded by basalt columns formed by lava a long time ago so you can see why it translates to ‘Black Falls’. Despite the weather, seeing this beautiful, natural landmark was well worth it. This is one of my favorite pictures from the whole trip and when I look at it, I am reminded that reaching your goals aren’t always easy but its well worth it when you do.

Prints are signed and numbered.

*12×8 and 18×12 prints have an additional 1/2 inch white border.
