Prairie Tempest speaks about prairie, prairie landscape, and the renewal of the land. It has a powerful and graceful energy that reminds us not only of its own beauty, but of this important habitat for many flowers, grasses, birds, butterflies and bees, and many other critters.

My experimental prairie and farmland art brings an awareness to land use and the regenerative techniques used to renew soil health. In my exploratory pieces, I challenge the viewer to take a closer look at nature used as art materials, romantic notions of rural landscape, land use and ownership, loss of natural ecosystems, agricultural economy, and ways to heal the soil.
