Piggy Bank #43
This ball-shaped piggy bank is based on a tiny one I received as a gift in Korea. It’s made of slip cast porcelain. There is a coin slot in the top, a flat bottom with four “feet” and a rubber plug on the bottom for coin removal, and a curly tail on the back end. It was hand painted with rust red, cherry salmon, white, mulberry, autumn purple and fire brick glazes and fired to Cone 5. It’s 5″ from snout to tail, 5″ from feet to ear tips and 4″ from side to side.
