Fox Grapes
These are wild grapes that are native to eastern North America. I found these near my home in Minnesota. Do not confuse these with “Moonseed” which are poisonous. The easiest way to tell the difference is by the seeds. Edible wild grapes have pear-shaped seeds, usually more than one in each grape. Moonseed berries have one flat seed that is often crescent shaped. If you are not sure, take a pass on this one.
This painting is created with watercolor and ink on cold-pressed watercolor paper. Size is 7.5×11 inches. Unframed.
It was created together with “First Cattails” and “Young Dandelion”. The three together make a nice grouping.
