“Northern Phoenix” is part of my Northwoods Mythical Creatures series.  I grew up in the woods of northern WI, and I’ve always loved exploring the hiking trails of WI and MN.  This, combined with my love of mythology and fantasy, has led me to create my own versions of some classic cryptids and mythological creatures, the way I think they would look if they lived in my neck of the woods.
