Daily Life for Superwoman

Daily Life for Superwoman  is a hand-pulled lithograph. The image size is 11″ by 11″. The image has 1/4″ of white edging trimmed in the manner of a vintage photograph. The image is printed on Arches Cover, an archival rag paper. This image is available unframed and shrink wrapped. Framing is available upon request but may take 1-2 weeks.

This lithograph was completed at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.  It is a black and white lithograph, hand drawn and printed by Faye Passow. The image starts with a black rectangle of ink on a prepared litho stone. Single edge razor blades are used to scrape out the negative areas. The stone’s surface has a slight texture so you see that texture in the tonal areas. An etching needle was used for the text, which must be written backwards. Hand lithographs are multiple originals. This lithograph has a limited edition of 50 with 2 Artist’s Proofs. Each one is an original.
