Cutch Study: What Looks Like Feathers
This is one of a three-part series. The fabrics were first mordant-painted (with metallic salts used to affix dye), then dyed with cutch–a natural dye from the heartwood of the acacia tree. They were then hand-embroidered with dyed threads. 23.5″ x 40″ x 3″
