This is the first piece in my new indigenous mushroom series. Chanterelles are such a beautiful shade of golden yellow, and quite tasty, sauteed in butter and garlic. If you go a-foraging, just make absolutely sure you have a genuine chanterelle before eating; there are several poisonous look-alikes.
