I design and build mechanical action cabinet organs that exemplify quality and artistic merit through a philosophy that respects the input of art, technology, and history applied to the production of fine studio craft. I think of my instruments as studies in tonal design. My instruments do not dominate a musical setting, but rather contribute where most effective either alone or in combination with other instruments or voices.
I joined the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association after some debate during Art-A-Whirl weekend, and concluded that joining this organization would provide greater benefit for me than rejoining an organ building or organist related organization whose ideas I already have a firm grasp of.
I look forward to different perspectives with respect to art and design as I hope to secure a new commission for my workshop, and this provides an open community of practice.
