The Guild of Metalsmiths
The Guild of Metalsmiths (TGoM) is a non-profit organization of people centered in and around Minnesota who preserve and promote the art, science, and skills of metalworking. We hold classes on Basics, Hammers, Tongs, Zombie Choppers, Tomahawks, Flowers, Leaves, and much more. We hold a 3-day open forge in June, a 3-day conference with demonstrators in September, and bi-monthly pot-luck member meetings. There are lots of opportunities to demonstrate, and maybe sell your wares, at local Threshing Shows, County Fairs, and Art Shows which we sponsor and support. Our members get advanced registration for classes plus discounts for equipment, clothing, supplies, and classes.

Brass & Copper Decorative Techniques 1-Day Class
Join us for an exciting class covering the decorative potential of various processes: etching, creating patina (coloring) by means of chemical or heat reaction (“flame colouring”), plating and removal/abrasion — along with design tips and practical cutting, piercing, and contouring techniques.
