CALL FOR SCULPTURE PROPOSALS!
ART ON THE AVE 2022: “Re-birth, re-create, re-focus, re-boot”
Art on the Ave in the Slatterly Park Arts District in Rochester, MN sponsoring an open, two-stage competition to choose a design for a sculpture. The chosen work will be permanently displayed on a boulevard in the neighborhood and will be revealed to the public in an official ceremony at the Art on the Ave event Saturday, May 21, 2022.
No entry fee; Multiple submissions accepted
Height: minimum 6 feet, maximum 8 feet
Maximum circumference: roughly 4 feet
The sculpture must be safe for children playing around it.
Finalist should be prepared to fabricate their design before May 1, 2022.
Proposals must include:
– Hand-drawn or computer generated images or photographs of project
– Description of intended dimensions and materials, along with a brief interpretation and proposed title
– Production logistics and timeline
– Participants are strongly encouraged to create a sculpture that engages the theme of the 2022 annual Art on the Ave: “Re-birth, re-create, re-focus, re-boot”

Artist responsible for installation with some assistance. Finished work must be delivered & installed by May 10, 2022. A commission of $2,500 will be awarded to the winning sculpture artist.
