Class Schedule
Day 1: February 1, 10am–4pm
Day 2: February 8, 10am–4pm
Class Overview:
Join this two-day workshop to create an abstract and boldly colored glass mosaic based on a photograph of your pet or an animal of choice. Under the guidance of Erin Ward, an experienced glass artist, you’ll explore the nuances of color, line, and shape as you bring your subject to life in mosaic form. Over two sessions, you’ll learn how to prepare the mosaic base, cut and shape the glass using a variety of scoring knives, glue pieces into place, and grout the final piece. Between classes, you’ll complete your mosaic assembly, preparing it for the grouting process on the second day.
Preparation:
Please select and email your photo to Erin Ward at e.draw81@gmail.com two weeks prior to the class. Erin will review your image and may offer suggestions based on her expertise to help achieve the best results. A wooden base, sized 10” x 10” or 8” x 10”, will be provided, with a custom outline of your pet based on the photo you submit.
