In this class you’ll explore metal and fabric to create your own, unique wearable armor out of entirely repurposed materials. You’ll spend time practicing basic hand and machine sewing, along with draping and simple alteration techniques, for the fabric portions of your creation. You’ll also learn techniques for manipulating metal with a butane torch and hand plasma cutter as well as cold connection, cutting, and bending skills.

This revolution is about learning to work with existing materials and remake them into something different and completely you. You’ll gain basic sewing and metalworking skills and understand more about material characteristics. You’ll have time to experiment, play, and unleash your creativity. On our final class day you’ll walk your look down the runway and together we’ll celebrate your journey towards total and complete badassery! (Yes, that’s a real word.) This class is open to all skill levels.

The 8th and final meeting session will be for finishing projects and a group fashion show.
