Vintage Mosaic “Paths and Trails” Workshop #1
The Workshop……
We will cover
– smalti mosaic and how to use it in the Andamento, or flow, of your piece.
– techniques for custom cutting smalti and for achieving a smooth finish and adding dimension to your work
– color gradients
– wire wrapping smalti
– how to use Laticrete thinset with colorants instead of grouting
WHEN: Thursday, July 10th 5-9 pm and Saturday, July 12th, noon- 4 pm. This is a two session class Max: 9

LEVEL: Some mosaic or glass experience is beneficial but not necessary. Beginners are encouraged and substrates of different sizes are available for different levels.
COST: $250 + $60 materials fee which includes a hardwood, pre-routed substrate, lots of smalti, 24 kt gold smalti, metal wire and all materials needed for your piece. One substrate will be provided. Various sizes available. Bring your own favorite nippers, tweezers and tools if you have them.
HOW: Deposit of 50% is required by Zelle or Venmo to reserve a spot. Maximum 9.
