Contribute to our Shared Pieces: Community Patchwork Project!

We invite everyone — all ages and skill levels — to participate in our outdoor community quilt installation. Use your favorite fiber art technique to decorate a fabric square that represents you. Share your story through fiber!

Here are some questions to spark inspiration for your square:

  • How would you describe yourself?
  • What fibers, techniques, and colors best communicate your personality?
  • What brings you joy?
  • What’s important to you?
  • What would you like others to know about you?

STEPS to participate:

  1. Stop by Textile Center and pick up an 8.5” cotton fabric square, and create your artwork within the 8” inner square outline.
    • OR, use your own 8.5” fabric square. Be sure to leave a ¼-inch border on each side for a seam allowance. This will ensure your pieces fit well when stitched into the quilts.
  2. Drop off your finished square at Textile Center by February 1, 2025.
  3. Come to Textile Center for the grand reveal of the installation during our Fiber Art for All Open House on February 22, 2025.
