Shared Pieces: Community Patchwork Project
Contribute to our Shared Pieces: Community Patchwork Project!
We invite everyone — all ages and skill levels — to participate in our outdoor community quilt installation. Use your favorite fiber art technique to decorate a fabric square that represents you. Share your story through fiber!
Here are some questions to spark inspiration for your square:
- How would you describe yourself?
- What fibers, techniques, and colors best communicate your personality?
- What brings you joy?
- What’s important to you?
- What would you like others to know about you?
STEPS to participate:
- Stop by Textile Center and pick up an 8.5” cotton fabric square, and create your artwork within the 8” inner square outline.
- OR, use your own 8.5” fabric square. Be sure to leave a ¼-inch border on each side for a seam allowance. This will ensure your pieces fit well when stitched into the quilts.
- Drop off your finished square at Textile Center by February 1, 2025.
- Come to Textile Center for the grand reveal of the installation during our Fiber Art for All Open House on February 22, 2025.
