Revolutionary: The Feminine Perspective Beyond 50 will be on view February 15 through March 25, 2023. This group exhibition, curated by Christi Furnas, will showcase the power, talent, and creativity of women and femme artists ranging in age from 50 to 92 years old. The exhibition will include paintings, prints, sculpture, jewelry, textiles, mixed media, and mosaics from 35 Twin Cities artists.
“Feminine artists who continue their journey for a lifetime, despite being undermined by the larger arts community, speaks to their tenacity and strength,” says Curator Furnas. “Their will to overcome, to continue to create beauty and inspire our souls, this is what I want to showcase.”
An open call was held by Fresh Eye Gallery inviting women, femmes, and gender nonconforming artists to submit their work for consideration. The selected exhibiting artists are:
