Mary Catherine Solberg is a Minneapolis-based artist. She blends classic portrait techniques with modern mixed media. Inspired by the Renaissance and Religious iconography, her works resemble ancient frescos with a modern twist. Recently she has been exploring memory, nostalgia and current events through layered mixed media.
