Print Your Own Seasonal Graphic Print Tee
This course introduces students to the equipment associated with textile screen printing and applies that knowledge by printing a seasonal collage of images (and text, if desired) on a t-shirt. The class begins with students composing the design for their shirt from a selection of seasonal images and phrases prepared prior to class (Autumn, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Winter, Christmas, New Years).* This will then be applied to their screen. After the screen is fully prepared, students will print their shirt(s), and then students will clean their screens and workstation. No prior experience with printmaking is necessary, only an interest in trying screen printing. Students will gain a better understanding of the process, and create a wearable keepsake or gift to take with them.
