Lauren has been a lifelong artist with over 20 years of production and djing under her belt. She began her DJ career in the underground dance and rave scenes of Detroit over 2 decades ago as a resident at the Motor Lounge, playing along side resident DJs Mike Servito, DJ Dilemma, Jason Kendig, and Derek Plaslaiko. Flax played the very first Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000. She was later introduced to DJ Haus by fellow Detroit musician and friend Jimmy Edgar, to which she later signed to his record label, resulting in “Dance Trax Vol. 16”. Flax joined the renown Detroit-born New York collective The Bunker NY, on which she released “One Man’s House is Another Woman’s Techno EP”
