In this workshop, we’ll start with a professionally thrown vessel that has been cured for you to carve. Using a range of carving tools, including metal and wooden implements, you’ll explore endless possibilities of surface decoration as you create unique patterns, textures, and designs.
Students are encouraged to explore, play, and enjoy the clay at this delicious texture that is often not accessible to beginners.
Then, you’ll shape and attach a handle to complete your creation. This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in exploring clay.
All materials are provided, so come ready to play, create, and have fun!
Leave your piece with us and we will fire and glaze for you to pick up. All pieces are mid-fire stoneware and are microwave and dishwasher-safe.
